Brett is a litigation associate in the firm's Kansas City office. He focuses his practice on complex business and commercial litigation. He represents clients on a range of issues, including aviation defense, environmental litigation and compliance, commercial real estate disputes, and the developing area of unmanned aircraft systems (also known as UAS, UAV or "drones").
During law school, Brett received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Torts, Contracts I, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure I, Contracts II, Legal Analysis Research and Writing II, Criminal Procedure, Professional Responsibility, Constitutional Law II, Legal Writing for Clerkships/Externships, Conflicts of Law, and The Law of Armed Conflict.
Brett also participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition where he earned a Top Oralist Award, was a staff member of the Washburn Law Journal, and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Julie Robinson of the United States District Court of Kansas.
