Christina Arnone is a partner in the firm's Insurance Practice Group and the Business Litigation Division in Kansas City. Christina represents corporate policyholders in disputes with their insurers, providing advice throughout the claims process, negotiating directly with insurers to maximize coverage, and, where necessary, litigating coverage disputes. Christina has particular expertise handling matters involving property and business interruption insurance, professional liability insurance, product recall insurance, directors and officers insurance, employment liability insurance, and general liability insurance. Christina has assisted clients faced with natural disasters through all stages of the insurance recovery process, from coordinating professionals to assist the policyholder in loss assessment through claim submission, litigation and settlement. Christina has also represented several clients in the food and beverage industry in resolving insurance claims resulting from product contamination and recall. Christina has analyzed insurance coverage for mass tort claims, and developed and applied models to calculate and allocate liability among numerous insurers. Christina also regularly provides coverage advice to financial institutions, property developers, commercial real estate investors, and REITs.
Christina has litigated in federal and state courts throughout the country. In addition to litigation of coverage disputes, Christina has substantial experience representing corporate clients in lawsuits alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, violation of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, and breach of fiduciary duties. Christina has also defended several antitrust and wage and hour class actions, FLSA collective actions, and lawsuits alleging ERISA violations. Christina has briefed appeals to the Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
