Stinson Leonard Street invites you to the Harris Martin Consumer Products Conference. Partners Michelle Corrigan and Sandy Wunderlich are featured speakers; Michelle is also co-chairing the conference.
The conference is March 16, 2017 at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, Calif. It will bring together leading practitioners in products liability matters to discuss the most noteworthy topics and recent developments in the industry.
Michelle will be a part of the discussion on state and federal regulations of children's products, entitled "Children's Products – CA Prop 65 and Federal Regulations." Sandy will be part of a panel discussion entitled "Cutting Edge Issues in Food-Related Regulation and Litigation."
Keven Barton from the Consumer Product Safety Commission will be presenting a segment entitled "Consumer Products Safety Commission: Who We Are & What We Do," which will include an overview of the CPSC's role in governing the safety of all consumer products sold in the United States.
Additional presentations include a discussion on the safety of e-cigarettes, hoverboards and lithium ion batteries, an analysis of current litigation involving vehicle emissions issues, and a roundup of recent U.S. Supreme Court and appellate decisions that affect consumer products.
Michelle is a partner in the firm's St. Louis office and the head of the firm's children's products group. She represents manufacturers and distributors in products liability litigation in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. She also consults with product manufacturers on issues related to warnings and labeling for their products.
Sandy is a partner in the firm's St. Louis office and serves as national product liability counsel for an international pharmaceutical company, and has advised and defended food companies in litigation involving their products. In addition, she has defended toxic tort claims involving mold, benzene and silica, as well as mechanical products such as tractors, forklifts and agricultural implements.
