MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 29, 2016)—Arbitration Nation, a blog written by Stinson Leonard Street partner Liz Kramer, was selected as one of the top 100 blogs for a legal audience by the ABA Journal. The magazine asked readers and fellow bloggers for help in compiling the "Blawg 100" list by identifying blogs that publish high-quality, engaging and informative posts.
The ABA highlighted Kramer's work tracking interesting arbitration decisions across the country and providing accurate commentary with intelligence and a sense of humor. ArbitrationNation is the only blog dedicated to arbitration on the list.
"I have not seen a better one, and I read an awful lot of ADR news," said the editor of the ABA's ADR website about Kramer's blog.
ArbitrationNation serves as a resource for litigators, in-house counsel, arbitrators and anyone else who wants to stay on top of the many thorny issues that arise under the federal arbitration. This is the fifth year in a row arbitration nation has been recognized on the ABA's "Blawg 100 list" and in that time Kramer has written more than 260 posts. The blog has also been recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association as one of the top legal blogs in the state.
Kramer is a partner in the firm's Business and Commercial Litigation Division and practices in the Minneapolis office. She handles complex business litigation and represents clients involved in franchise, construction project and contract disputes. She also has significant appellate experience and is a leader in the arbitration law community in Minnesota and across the U.S. About half of her cases are in arbitration and she routinely teaches CLEs seminars on arbitration topics. In 2015 she was appointed to the American Arbitration Association’s Large Case Committee. In 2016 she was named "Attorney of the Year" by Minnesota Lawyer.
