Jenni Ives assists employers to comply with the vast array of laws that govern the employment relationship. By learning the unique businesses of her clients, she helps them resolve workplace disputes and develop proactive policies and procedures tailored to their needs and business objectives. In her practice, she regularly advises clients on hiring and firing, employee leaves, disability accommodations, noncompetition and confidentiality agreements, wage and hour compliance, and workplace diversity. She drafts employee handbooks, employment contracts and severance agreements, conducts internal investigations and audits, and trains managers and employees on legal requirements. Jenni has particular expertise in the evolving area of parenting, disability, sick, and medical leaves.
Jenni is also an experienced litigator and negotiator. She regularly represents employers in court, before administrative agencies, and on appeal. She successfully litigates and settles complex employment disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, breach of contract, non-competition, defamation, and minority shareholder claims.
