For more than 30 years Mark Shaiken has represented debtors, lenders and committees in more than 20 different state and federal jurisdictions and bankruptcy courts across the country. Mark brings creative problem solving and attention to detail to each new matter. He works tirelessly to become an integral part of each client's business and to gain an understanding of their goals and objectives.
Splitting his time between our Kansas City and Denver offices, Mark's practice focuses on all facets of bankruptcy, insolvency, and reorganization matters, as well as creditors' rights, including workouts, real estate foreclosures and related litigation, personal property replevins, Reg B, collections, and lender liability defense.
Additionally, he has taught advanced bankruptcy law at the University of Kansas for 14 years, and was named a Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers for bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights and insolvency and reorganization.
Before joining the firm Mark clerked for the Hon. James A. Pusateri, of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas.
