Melinda Dugas is an attorney in Stinson Leonard Street’s real estate and public finance groups. She helps businesses of all sizes achieve their real estate acquisition, development and financing goals.
Before attaining her law degree, Melinda served as a summer associate in the Minneapolis office of Stinson Leonard Street, where she conducted legal research and wrote legal memoranda involving both transactional and litigation matters in the areas of real estate, estate planning, construction, energy, housing and immigration law. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Francis J. Connolly at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
During law school, Melinda was selected as the Robina Foundation Policy Fellow and legal intern for the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA). In this capacity, she helped prepare the organization’s 2013 Minnesota legislative agenda, recommended changes to the state’s criminal sexual conduct statutes and developed policy recommendations for MNCASA and its membership programs.
Prior to practicing law, Melinda was a Teach For America corps member in Memphis, Tennessee, where she taught eighth grade social studies and coached fast-pitch softball.
