Patrick Respeliers focuses on helping public and private companies to grow and finance their businesses and currently co-chairs the Mergers & Acquisitions group at the Firm. He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public and exempt offerings of securities, the issuance of high yield and investment grade debt securities, syndicated loans, structured finance and securitization, hedging transactions, and corporate governance. Patrick has taken companies through the initial public offering process, as well as representing existing public companies with their access to public equity and debt markets. He advises the boards of directors of public and private companies about fiduciary duty issues related to mergers and acquisitions, takeover threats, activist proxy solicitations and unsolicited stock accumulations. Patrick also represents both private equity funds and entrepreneurs in connection with investments in early stage companies. He has particular experience representing master limited partnerships and real estate investment trusts and companies in the industries of energy, construction, mining and datacenters. Prior to joining the firm, Patrick gained extensive experience in the oil and gas industry while working in the Dallas, Texas office of Akin Gump.
