Steve Cosentino, an innovative leader in the information technology, software and online industries, chairs the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Division. He combines strong intellectual property experience with a technology and corporate finance background to help emerging companies pursue opportunities and growth. Steve’s primary focus is on technology related transactions and compliance, with an emphasis on software licensing and services, data center services, outsourcing, data privacy, advertising, cloud computing and cybersecurity. Steve also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, taking an active role in many corporate transactions and due diligence investigations. Steve frequently negotiates technology transactions in the software, mobile, healthcare and financial services industries.
Steve is a frequent contributor to the firm’s e-alerts, writing numerous articles on e-commerce topics, particularly in the area of electronic privacy. He serves on the editorial board of the KCMBA Counselor magazine, frequently writing articles for the publication. He contributes for the Sedona Conference Working Group 11 – Data Security and Privacy Liability.
Steve speaks to various groups on software, data security, FinTech, e-commerce and Internet privacy related topics. He frequently incorporates unique presentation styles such as the recent reenactment of a data security incident at the Heartland GRC event in Kansas City.
