He is a trusted adviser to a wide-range of business enterprises in their day-to-day legal matters, as well as handling business sales and acquisitions, business formation, business succession and financing for businesses. He understands how a legal matter fits into the overall business strategy of the client, he anticipates potential difficulties and he provides creative solutions to his clients’ legal needs. Steve served as head of Leonard, Street and Deinard’s (a predecessor firm) privately-held and family business practice group for 12 years. He was a founder of the firm’s First Counsel® and Core Counsel® programs, which offer flat fee arrangements for entrepreneurs as they form their new business or for business owners that need access to a full array of legal services, respectively. He has played an instrumental role in developing and honing these programs that bring innovative services to meet the unique needs of clients.
