John Young is a national trial lawyer with more than 40 years experience litigating at all forum levels with particular focus on the broad financial services industry. John has successfully represented financial institutions, lenders and servicers, and various participants in CMBS transactions, in real estate finance litigation, lender liability defenses, receiverships, and troubled loan workouts. He has appeared for creditors, and on occasion, creditor committees and bankruptcy trustees in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings and litigation.
He also has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in substantial business litigation, involving complex contract disputes and business torts (related to licensor/licensee contracts, distribution contracts, software development contracts, joint venture contracts and entity governance, acquisition, merger and buy-sell agreements, and employment contracts). In addition, he has successfully served clients in all aspects of real estate litigation and in various lawsuits representing municipalities including defense of ordinances against constitutional challenge.
