Stinson's Allison Murdock Recognized with UMKC Class of 2024 Alumni Achievement Award

Stinson LLP Managing Partner Allison Murdock has been recognized as a University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) 2024 School of Law Alumni Award honoree. The award is part of UMKC's Alumni Achievement Awards, which recognized 15 alumni for their inspirational accomplishments and significant contributions to their profession and community.

The School of Law Alumni Award celebrates Murdock's outstanding legal and leadership skills, unwavering dedication to client service and commitment to ethics and compassion, solidifying her reputation as a respected leader, mentor and advocate in the legal field.

Murdock has dedicated her career to Stinson. She started as a summer associate at the firm in 1987 while attending UMKC School of Law. After graduating in 1988, she joined Stinson as an associate and grew her practice as a trial attorney specializing in fiduciary litigation to her current role as managing partner. She has held leadership roles throughout her tenure, including serving as a member of the firm's board of directors and executive committee, chairing one of the firm's litigation divisions and chairing the firm's associate evaluation and associate development committees. Before becoming managing partner in 2021, Murdock served as deputy managing partner for 11 years.

As managing partner, Murdock's focus is on leading and growing a client-centric and community-engaged firm. Her commitment to the firm's attorneys and staff fosters a culture of professional and personal growth. She prioritizes diversity and inclusion and well-being initiatives, as well as associate and staff development, underscoring her goal of cultivating the firm's next generation of high-performing attorneys and dedication to the success of all individuals at the firm.

Murdock's commitment to exceptional service extends beyond Stinson. She has participated in bar initiatives championing a more diverse and inclusive legal landscape and demonstrates a strong dedication to philanthropy and community engagement initiatives within various Kansas City communities.

Murdock was recognized with the 2024 UMKC School of Law Alumni Award the evening of April 5.
