Chris Frantze Serves as Legal Counsel in Renewal of Historic Downtown KC Building
Stinson LLP Real Estate & Public Finance Partner Chris Frantze served as legal counsel to local multifamily investor and owner-broker Troy Kearns in a transaction involving the renovation of Pecks Plaza, a historic 13-story building in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri's Central Business District.
The plan for the historic property includes smaller office leases with a mix of tenants, a real estate investment mentorship operation, and a space for short-term coworking to serve as a business incubator. Kearns estimates that the 13-story building is less than 20% occupied, presenting an opportunity for the creation of 14 to 20 new multifamily units. Kearns purchased Pecks Plaza for $5.2 million.
