Donesky Appointed as Co-Chair to the Magistrate Judge Selection Panel

Stinson LLP Partner Tracey Holmes Donesky has been appointed as co-chair of the Merit Selection Panel to advise the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota on the selection of a new full-time U.S. magistrate judge.

The Merit Selection Panel is responsible for reviewing applications, interviewing prospective candidates and recommending candidates it deems best qualified for the magistrate judge position.

"I'm honored to have been appointed by the Honorable Chief Judge Schiltz to serve on this panel as we select our next Magistrate Judge in Minnesota," Donesky said. "This is a real honor and an opportunity to serve with such accomplished leaders."

Donesky focuses her practice on matters affecting railroads and other transportation-related entities, oil and gas, manufacturing and retail entities. As an employment litigator, she also handles non-compete matters, wage and hour claims and class actions, helping clients with classification determinations and Department of Labor audits, and counseling and litigation related to discrimination and retaliation claims.

The Merit Selection Panel must provide its report and recommendation to the court no later than October 23, 2022.
