Stinson Acts as Legal Counsel to AOA in Successful DOJ Business Review Letter Response

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) recently issued a favorable business review letter on plans by the American Optometric Association’s (AOA) to expand group purchasing abilities, enabling them to better compete in the market and benefit consumers by reducing costs.

The DOJ approval was in response to the AOA’s business review letter, under which companies and organizations can proactively seek assurances of non-enforcement and get an answer on whether it considers those plans anti-competitive.
