Vicki Smith Discusses Election Day Voting with The Beacon
Kansas City Partner Vicki Smith highlighted the importance of planning ahead when it comes to voting on Election Day in a recent article by The Beacon. As a co-captain of Stinson's Election Protection efforts, Vicki assisted in answering voter and polling questions that came through the nonpartisan hotline during the Kansas and Missouri primaries this summer, and is preparing to do the same on November 3.
"Voters who experience issues with their polling place enforcing social distancing guidelines can alert their local election authority or call the Election Protection hotline," said Vicki. She went on to outline curbside voting options in Missouri for those voting in person, and advised voting during off hours such as mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
Vicki and many other Stinson attorneys will be volunteering with Election Protection on November 3 for the general election, though voters from all 50 states can reach out to Election Protection at 1-866-OUR-VOTE 365 days a year to be connected to a trained volunteer who can answer voting-related questions.
In her practice, Vicki focuses on complex business litigation, leveraging her strong legal presence to protect her clients’ interests and advance key business goals. Her extensive experience in antitrust and intellectual property litigation includes cases involving damages allegations in excess of a billion dollars.
