Bill Thomson Chosen to Serve on District of Minnesota Federal Rules Committee
Partner Bill Thomson has been selected to serve on the Federal Rules Committee for the District of Minnesota.
The committee is responsible for assessing and recommending changes to improve Minnesota's federal court procedures, considering requests for rule changes and advising the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
"Bill's selection to this committee comes without surprise," said Chuck Hatfield, chair of the firm's Financial Services and Class Action Litigation division. "His legal experience and sincere commitment to client service are sure to progress with this opportunity and will aid in Bill's development as a successful attorney."
Thomson is a member of the firm's 2022 new partner class. He defends insurers and other businesses in complex, multistate class actions, corporate governance, shareholder disputes and financial services matters. He has experience representing banks and other financial institutions in major lending litigation. Thomson was selected to the 2021, 2022 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America list for achieving outstanding professional excellence in his practice. Additionally, Thomson is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
Thomson's term will run through 2025.
