Dallas Attorney Bailey McGowan Honored by the Texas Bar Foundation
Stinson LLP attorney Bailey McGowan has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Fellows are selected for their professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the Texas justice system. McGowan's election is considered to be a mark of distinction as it recognizes her contribution to the legal profession as well as her commitment to the betterment of the Texas community.
Selection as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas, with one-third of 1% of Texas attorneys invited to become Fellows each year. Nominees are then elected by the Texas Bar Foundation board of trustees.
McGowan, a former public defender, focuses her practice on government contracts and white collar defense. She uses a hands-on approach to develop creative solutions while maintaining an empathetic attitude. McGowan's background helped her develop a keen understanding of civil commitment proceedings – a passion she continues to pursue at Stinson.
In addition to her practice, McGowan is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, where she recently participated in and graduated from a six-month leadership class designed to connect early-career attorneys with opportunities to grow their leadership skills and make an impact within the Dallas bar and community.
