Law360 Highlights Stinson's Corporate Finance Bench with News of Larsen and Ziegler Joining the Firm

Law360 recently published an article, "Stinson Adds Corporate Finance Partners In DC, NYC," featuring the firm's recent lateral hires, Partners Kim Larsen and Tobias Ziegler.

The article details the attorneys' decision to move from a small-sized law firm to a firm nearly triple in size and highlights the attorneys' legal capabilities.

"As we've grown our practice and the size and complexity of the deals that we're handling, we have more of a need for highly capable people in those areas. We do M&A and private equity on behalf of foreign investors and, in connection with those transactions, we really want access to specialty areas," Ziegler said. "Stinson is a firm that can compete with the biggest firms without foregoing the flexibility in terms of [what] we can offer."

Larsen, who mentioned he was motivated to join Stinson because of the opportunity to broaden his services currently offered, including transactional work, employment and regulatory-related matters, said, "Our goal is to use the strong bench and capabilities that the firm has primarily in the Midwest to expand out into the East Coast." He also said joining Stinson's corporate finance bench allows him and Ziegler to "handle transactions more efficiently and be able to do more complicated and larger transactions."

Larsen has handled a range of corporate matters, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, IPOs and commercial transactions, for more than three decades. He represents large established domestic and international clients in industry-changing joint ventures, acquisitions and privatizations, and has been lead attorney in over a half dozen multibillion dollar mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and securities offerings.

Ziegler's practice focuses on international and domestic mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions. He represents a wide range of businesses and investors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity, joint ventures, and transactions involving the transfer of intellectual property and real estate throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United States.
