Law360's Legal Lions of the Week Features Stinson Attorneys, Highlights Client Success Involving PFAS Litigation

Stinson LLP attorneys are featured in a recent edition of Law360's "Legal Lions of the Week" list for their work in defending Edgewell Personal Care Co. against two putative class actions claiming that certain types of tampons sold by Edgewell have harmful "forever chemicals," such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

The Legal Lions of the Week feature highlighted the firm's success after a California federal judge granted motions to dismiss both class actions, holding that plaintiffs had failed to plausibly allege the presence of harmful PFAS in Edgewell's tampons. This was plaintiffs' second attempt to state a claim, and it is not clear whether plaintiffs will seek leave to make a third attempt to state a claim, appeal the court's rulings granting the motions to dismiss, or abandon the cases.
