Nicci Warr Honored by Missouri Lawyers Media with Diversity & Inclusion Award

Missouri Lawyers Media has recognized Stinson LLP Partner Nicci Warr with a 2023 Diversity & Inclusion Awards. Warr is one of 19 attorneys to receive this honor.

The Diversity & Inclusion Awards recognizes attorneys, judges, law firms and legal organizations that are significantly advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in Missouri's legal profession and in communities in which exceptional legal work helps ensure justice for all.

"Nicci Warr is an indispensable part of our firm whose deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is weaved into all aspects of the work she does at the firm," Stinson's Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Ann Thomas said.

In 2022, Warr was selected to serve as a Fellow by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. She is an active member of Stinson's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and played an integral role in an internal initiative focused on ensuring firm associates have equitable access to career-enhancing assignments and helps to mitigate unconscious biases in assignment distribution. Warr's involvement with the committee has led to a 152% increase in attorneys of color since 2016. She also served as a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee and has helped improve the firm's recruiting process to make it more inclusive.

Warr has also helped grow Stinson's antitrust practice through internal and external efforts. As co-chair of Stinson's Appellate Committee, Warr helped create and institute a new associate training on appellate issues.

Internally, Warr invests time establishing and maintaining relationships that contribute to an inclusive environment. The connections she has built throughout her tenure at the firm have served especially important over the last several years and throughout Stinson's continued use of a hybrid work environment.

Warr's experience working on complex litigation and counseling matters spanning antitrust, consumer protection laws and intellectual property issues gives her a unique perspective that helps her find effective and efficient solutions for her clients. Much of Warr's work focuses on new and emerging technologies and matters involving the intersection of intellectual property and antitrust law.
