Stinson Bank M&A Attorney Advises Stearns Bank in Strategic Transaction with Horizon Bank

Stinson LLP served as legal counsel to Stearns Bank National Association for its acquisition of Horizon Bank's Mortgage Warehouse Lending Division. This strategic transaction strengthens Stearns Bank's specialized lending services and enhances its national banking, lending and financing capabilities.

The acquisition, which was finalized Jan. 17, 2025, enables Stearns Bank to fully serve mortgage warehouse lending customers and integrate key personnel from Horizon Bank to ensure a smooth transition. The transaction further diversifies Stearns Bank's national loan portfolio and creates additional revenue streams as the financial services institution continues its rapid growth. Stearns Bank will also serve as the financial services intermediary between a mortgage company and the final-end investor.
