Stinson Grows St. Louis Office with Additions of a Former Federal Prosecutor and a Tax Credit and Impact Finance Attorney

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce its continued growth in St. Louis by welcoming Reginald L. Harris, a partner in the firm’s Financial Services and Class Action Practice Division, and Karen M. Rippelmeyer, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate & Public Finance Practice Division.

Harris, a former federal prosecutor, worked in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri for almost two decades, where he investigated and prosecuted corporate embezzlement, Ponzi-type schemes, investment fraud, public corruption, and other white collar crimes. His legal focus also includes corporate compliance, workplace safety violations, investment fraud, regulatory noncompliance, health care fraud, OSHA violations, and employment discrimination. Harris has significant courtroom experience, including trying federal criminal cases and arguing numerous appeals before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Harris graduated from the University of Iowa with both a bachelor’s degree and a law degree.

Rippelmeyer focuses her practice on real estate law and tax credit and impact financing. She works with equity investors, developers, lenders and community economic entities in real estate matters involving federal, state and local tax credits and incentives, including new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and low-income housing tax credits. Rippelmeyer advises clients regarding the acquisition, development and financing of commercial, senior housing, and multi-family residential properties. Rippelmeyer earned her law degree from Saint Louis University.
