Stinson Names Scot Hill its 2024 Mentor of the Year

Stinson LLP Partner Scot Hill has received the firm's 2024 Mentor of the Year award.

The award recognizes Hill's outstanding commitment to mentoring and supporting the professional and personal development of associates. Hill is also honored for his dedication to promoting growth, providing constructive feedback, and acting as a role model within the firm.

"Scot is much more than a mentor – he is a teacher, a guide, and a steadfast source of support. His feedback has been instrumental in refining my skills and bolstering my confidence," said attorney Asma Ali, who nominated Hill.

Ali also emphasized Hill's talent for creating an inclusive and respectful work environment, noting his empathy, attentiveness and commitment to fostering a space where others feel valued and empowered to thrive.

The Mentor of the Year award is part of Stinson's Mentoring Program, an integral part of the firm's associate development efforts. The goal of the program is to provide additional resources to the development and training of associates, and advance the quality of practice for all firm attorneys.

Hill is a results-oriented legal advisor helping companies meet their business objectives. His experience and knowledge spans a wide range of industries across North America, including professional sports, consumer products, firearms, energy and agricultural commodities. Hill also serves as co-chair of the firm's sports & recreation practice group.
