Stinson Paralegal, Legal Administrative Assistant Recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as Unsung Legal Heroes

Stinson LLP Paralegal Stephanie Hess and Legal Administrative Assistant Marci Pikula are recognized by Minnesota Lawyer with the 2024 Unsung Legal Heroes Award.

The award honors law firm employees whose extraordinary dedication and contributions have a significant impact on their firms and the legal profession.

Hess is a quick learner, possesses an exceptional work ethic, and is unwavering in supporting her colleagues, the firm and its clients. She is a dedicated paralegal with nearly three decades of experience, with nearly 10 years spent at the firm. Hess shows initiative and leadership within projects, demonstrates a deep understanding of the law and serves as a trusted resource. She enjoys collaborating with attorneys across the firm.

"I get to work in different areas of law, anywhere from working on employment matters to products liability, bankruptcy, the whole gamut. It's never boring and I’m always learning," Hess said.

Pikula's selection underscores her steadfast commitment to client service, meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, and collaborative spirit. She is a legal administrative assistant with over three decades of experience, with more than 20 years at the firm. Pikula is known for proactively anticipating attorney needs and prioritizing teamwork among all legal administrative assistants in the firm's Minneapolis office. Her work spans a variety of practice areas, from business and commercial litigation to labor and employment.

"I love growing my skills every time I shift from attorney to attorney. The cases are different even when I stay in the same practice group," Pikula said. "I love the drive of it all. It keeps me going."

Hess and Pikula are two of 19 Minnesota law firm professionals recognized with the 2024 Unsung Legal Heroes Award. They were recognized at an awards luncheon Friday, Sept. 20.
