Stinson Recognized by LCLD as 2024 Top Performer and Top Compass Award Winners

Stinson LLP has been named a Top Performer and Compass Award winner by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). The recognitions honor law firms and corporations showing a strong commitment to building a more inclusive legal profession. Stinson is one of 111 organizations to receive both awards.

The Top Performer Award recognizes organizations who are most engaged with LCLD programs and activities. The Compass Award recognizes individuals and organizations fulfilling LCLD requirements in a single calendar year, including engagement from an organization's managing partner or general counsel with LCLD, the nomination of an LCLD Fellow and Pathfinder and participation in an LCLD Pipeline program.

"LCLD has been a valuable resource in our efforts to support our diverse attorneys," Stinson's Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer Ann Thomas said. "This recognition is both an honor and validates our ongoing work of fostering a more diverse, equitable and inclusive legal profession and firm."

LCLD is comprised of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are committed to ensuring that all talent thrives, with the ultimate goal of building a more equitable and diverse legal profession.

With the support of firm leadership and the board of directors, Stinson's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Department works to sustain the firm's legacy of promoting key tenets of diversity, equity and inclusion. The department's mission is to provide an equitable workplace that attracts, retains and promotes individuals of diverse backgrounds through recruitment, engagement and accountability initiatives, partnerships with local and national organizations, and the development of systems and processes that mitigate the effect of bias.
