University of Missouri Inducts David Kim into 2024 ISE Hall of Fame

Stinson LLP Partner David Kim has been inducted into the University of Missouri Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame honors alumni who have made significant contributions to the field of industrial and systems engineering and recognizes those whose careers reflect innovation, leadership and a commitment to advancing the profession. Kim is a 2004 graduate of the university's Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

Kim helps clients build and manage their intellectual property portfolios, focusing on the technology, manufacturing and consumer goods sectors. He has secured hundreds of patents in the computer, electrical and mechanical arts for a range of innovations encompassing augmented reality and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, advanced robotics and automation, semiconductor manufacturing, medical devices, and autonomous vehicles. Inventors and in-house counsel rely on him for guidance throughout the product design and development process to identify potential inventions and find opportunities for innovation. Kim's experience as a former patent examiner gives him a unique ability to strategically guide patent prosecution, analyze competitor products, develop licensing opportunities and ensure enforceability. 

Kim was formally inducted into the University of Missouri ISE Hall of Fame during the Annual Meeting and Induction Banquet on November 15, 2024.
