Overview
Judith is a dedicated advocate for parents and children, with a focus on child welfare. Judith handles appointments from Jackson County Family Court, helping families navigate the complex legal system in cases of abuse and neglect. She also serves as guardian ad litem in child custody actions, maintaining her license by the Supreme Court of Missouri.
Prior to joining Stinson, Judith served as a staff attorney and guardian ad litem for Jackson County CASA. In this role, she represented the best interest of children in abuse and neglect cases. While at CASA, Judith worked to create and oversee the implementation of the CASA Pro Bono Attorney Program, which recruits, trains and supports volunteer attorneys to serve as guardian ad litem for children in Jackson County.
Her experience spans diverse areas, including representing victims of domestic violence in a variety of matters and providing pro bono services to immigrants who have experienced trauma, including human trafficking, domestic violence and various other forms of violence, or challenges due to their immigration status.
