Overview
Olga helps U.S. employers hire and retain foreign national employees. In addition to securing nonimmigrant work visas and employment-based green cards for employees, she helps clients craft corporate immigration compliance strategies and global mobility solutions.
A multilingual attorney, Olga helps clients secure H, L, O, J, P, TN and E visas for employees across diverse industries, including energy, transportation, architecture, mining, insurance, IT, education and manufacturing. Her practice encompasses the full range of corporate immigration services for clients, including Labor Certification Applications, immigrant visa petitions, 1-9/E-Verify compliance, and the like. In her companion practice as an energy attorney, she helps clients with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance issues and transactions relating to the development and financing of renewable energy projects.
Experience
Olga assists corporate clients in securing work visas for highly talented foreign national employees, and advising hiring managers and individuals on B-1/B-2 rules and visa waiver programs. This includes preparing a variety of immigrant visa petitions including multinational manager/executive petitions, extraordinary ability/outstanding researcher petitions, national interest waivers and adjustment of status applications.
Her counseling work with clients includes I-9/E-Verify compliance programs and self-audits. She also represents clients during U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement I-9 investigations.
Olga advises clients on the immigration-related impacts of mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring.
In her energy practice, Olga guides clients through FERC compliance issues and NERC reliability standards, as well as required annual government reports and related filings. Her energy transactional work includes the representation of a lessee of an interest in a coal-fired plant in a sale-leaseback transaction and $100 million financing, and negotiating a $204 million purchase and sale agreement in a separate transaction.
A native Russian speaker, Olga assists low-income clients pro bono with family-based petitions, U visas, T visas, DACA applications, SIJ petitions and naturalizations. She has been awarded multiple times for her legal service to the indigent.
