Managing Partner Mark Hinderks Featured in Law360 Law Firm Leaders
Stinson LLP Managing Partner Mark Hinderks was recently featured in Law360 Law Firm Leaders where he discussed the firm's client-focused culture, serving clients remotely during COVID-19 and the substantial changes to the business of law during his tenure as leader, and Stinson's continued commitment to diversity and inclusion. Mark also outlined the corporate business model used by the firm to select the next managing partner Allison Murdock.
Mark spoke to Stinson's culture and the firm's response in quickly adapting to remote client support during the pandemic. "We are still serving clients the same way and at the same level we served them before. Everyone is engaged, everyone is providing the service our clients expect. The business is working and we are working," he said.
A significant and recent announcement was the firm's next managing partner, Allison Murdock. Mark outlined the corporate business model used to select a new managing partner, one which Stinson advises client to adopt for business continuity.
"We wanted a process that was repeatable, not political, and was very businesslike," Mark said. "The board appointed a 10-member advisory committee. They spent about nine months identifying candidates and surveying our partners about the qualities most important for a managing partner, getting platform statements from the candidates, interviewing the candidates, and they made a recommendation to our board of directors about six weeks ago and the board unanimously accepted that. That's how we arrived at Allison [Murdock] for the choice."
Mark leads Stinson LLP as managing partner, member of the executive committee and board of directors.
