Stinson's Managing Partner Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Stinson LLP Managing Partner Allison Murdock has been recognized by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) with the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented for a lifetime of outstanding service resulting in the growth and development of the law, improvement in the administration of justice and increased recognition of the contributions by the legal profession to the welfare of society.

Murdock, who has spent her entire legal career at Stinson, beginning as a summer associate in 1987 and starting as an associate in 1988, began her career in environmental litigation before transitioning her focus to fiduciary litigation. A role model of the commensurate counselor, Murdock served as chair of the firm's Associate Evaluation Committee and the Associate Development Committee, and chaired one of the firm's litigation divisions. Murdock joined the firm's board of directors in 2003 and was named Deputy Managing Partner in 2010. In 2021, Murdock was selected as the firm's first female Managing Partner.

In addition to her work at the firm, Murdock has worked with the KCMBA on their DEI Collaborative. She also served on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation's strategic planning committee, which led to the creation of Military Matters, a program that assists in filling the gap in legal services available to service members and veterans.

Described by colleagues as someone who represents "excellence, integrity, and commitment," Murdock's responsibility to the practice of law continues to transform the legal practice, not just at Stinson, but throughout the entire legal profession.

Murdock will receive the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award on December 9 at the KCMBA's 138^th Annual Meeting.

Murdock serves as the managing partner of Stinson LLP and holds ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the firm's operations and performance, including development and implementation of the firm's strategic initiatives. Her focus is on leading and growing a client-focused and community-engaged firm. In addition to serving as the firm's managing partner, Murdock is a member of its board of directors and executive committee.
