Busch Featured in Minnesota Lawyer's 'Breaking the Ice' Series
Stinson LLP attorney Patrick Busch is featured in Minnesota Lawyer's "Breaking the Ice" series discussing rapid developments in labor and employment law.
Busch provides insights on how attorneys address new regulations, amendments and judicial rulings that alter the legal landscape, as well as the constantly evolving nature of the workplace.
"It’s not necessarily a bad thing," Busch told Minnesota Lawyer. "But city ordinances could change. County ordinances could change. State laws could change. There could be federal laws that change. There could be federal court interpretations of those laws that could change. It keeps me motivated."
Busch says he often helps clients see employment issues from multiple perspectives, which can help parties reach consensus without having to go to court.
"The best part of my work is when I’m able to write a position statement saying, 'Here’s what happened. Subject to further investigation, here are all the reasons why there’s no basis to go forward with the lawsuit and that’s how this case should be resolved,'" Busch said.
Busch also offers insight on his career journey, what it's like to practice as a third-generation lawyer and how it's shaped his perception of the profession. He brings extensive experience in labor and employment law, focusing on management-side representation for a diverse range of clients including individuals, small businesses and large corporations.
