Firm Goals and Growth Highlighted in The American Lawyer Article
In an American Lawyer article titled, "Seeking Small Firm Acquisitions or Lateral Groups, Stinson Maps Out Growth Strategy," Managing Partner Allison Murdock discusses the firm's goals regarding geographic expansion and new hires.
"We're looking for groups of lateral moves or smaller firms—anywhere from 25 to 100. That's our growth strategy at this point," said Murdock.
Murdock notes that through acquisitions and lateral group moves, the firm hopes to substantially deepen its bench in key practice areas while also expanding its geographical footprint. "We will grow where our clients need us—whether it be geographic location or practice area," said Murdock.
The article also highlights the firm's increased revenue over the last year and details strategic techniques the firm will continue to use to identify growth and branch into new practice areas. Additionally, the article made note of past strategic firm hires, including the addition of former Federal Trade Commission attorney Jonathan Ripa in Minneapolis, and Ashley Anderson and Erin Marino in Dallas.
Murdock serves as the managing partner of Stinson LLP and holds ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the firm's operations and performance, including development and implementation of the firm's strategic initiatives. Her focus is on leading and growing a client-focused and community-engaged firm. In addition to serving as the firm's managing partner, Murdock is a member of its board of directors and executive committee.
